Tip #5 Recycle Cleaning Rags

Use your old cloths as cleaning rags. Shirts, old towels, socks, and other cloths work well. When they get dirty, don't throw away, just wash in the washing machine and let air dry. Remember, reusing is green, and cheaper than buying new rags.

Tip #4 Cleaning Toilets

First, sprinkle baking soda all over your toilet. Second, pour one cup of vinegar into the toilet water. Then, use a scrub brush to clean the toilet. The interaction between the vinegar and baking soda produces a tough cleaning action. This odor is much more pleasant than using bleach based powder cleaning agents.

Tip #3 Window Cleaner

Mix 1 tsp of Laundry Soap, 1 cup of ammonia, and 3 cups of warm water in a bottle to make a great window cleaner. New, clean towels work best. Clean several times to get perfect, or use newspaper to wipe off the solution for a perfect shine.

Tip #2 Baking Soda

Use baking soda to freshen your carpets. Simply use a box (or two) of baking soda to spread all over your carpet before vacuuming. The baking soda will absorb the subtle yet gross odors in your carpet. Not only that, Baking soda is cheaper and less toxic than conventional carpet fresheners. This helps if you have dogs and cats!!!!!
